The Hobe Sound Fine Arts League launched on January 23, 1984 when Delores Alchermes Zapatelli and five other art enthusiasts gathered in Zapatelli’s garage to paint. Since then, the arts league has grown and expanded in scope to include workshops and classes for both children and adults. Scholarships are paid for by fund-raisers and portions of fees for the workshops and classes are given to South Fork High School art students. Members exhibit their work throughout the year at area galleries and art shows. For more information, call 772.546.2945 or visit www.hobesoundartists.com.
