Molly's Dream

Most teenagers dream about going to the senior prom, graduating from high school, or going away to the college of their choice, but not Molly. Molly's dream was for something bigger than herself—to create a place where families of critically ill patients could stay while their loved ones sought treatment.

Molly was diagnosed with myelogenous leukemia, an extremely rare form of cancer in 1986. She and her family searched the world over for treatment of this terrible disease, but most doctors and hospitals held little hope for her recovery and would not accept her as a patient.

Sometimes Molly and her family were lucky and could find a hospitality house that could accommodate them, but usually there were little opportunities for lodging.  Molly's Dream was to have a Hospitality House built in her community to help families like her's that need a place to stay during a medical crisis.

The struggle to keep Molly well failed in 1992 when she died of leukemia.  She was only 18 years old.

Because of Molly's Dream, leaders in the community came together to help build Molly's House, Molly's Dream.  Through the years,  the "House"has hosted more than 5000 families from across the country and will continue to serve those in need for years to come.

Your contribution to Molly's House will help us keep her Dream Alive.
