House Guidelines
Welcome to Molly’s House. The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help you with any problems or questions. House Managers and Weekend House Managers are available 24 hours for emergencies (after 9 p.m. call ext. 150 or knock on Manager’s door).
The guidelines are intended to ensure your comfort and safety. It is important that each guest understand and follow these guidelines. Molly’s House is not a “hotel”. It is your home away from home as long as you are qualified to stay. Please use and care for it with the same love and care that was taken to establish it.
Molly’s House is a Non Medical Facility
n Molly’s House Staff and Volunteers cannot provide any medical or medically related services of any kind. You are fully responsible for both non-emergency and emergency services. The House will, of course, help to arrange for emergency services. Personal medications are to be stored in the guest’s room only.
Referrals and Room Assignments.
n A referral by a hospital or medical center representative is required and information is kept confidential. An I.D. is required for check in.
n Guests are assigned rooms on a first come, first serve basis, without discrimination.
n One room per patient family and rooms cannot be reserved in advance.
n Guests with communicable diseases, such as measles, chicken pox, etc. cannot stay at Molly’s House.
n Length of stay is limited to no more than one day prior to surgery or admittance to a hospital, and may extend for a total of two weeks (eligibility to stay longer will be reviewed and re-established after that period). For Fire Safety no more than the allowed number of family members per room.
Check In
n A $20.00 donation per night per room is requested in advance.
n A room will be assigned to you. A key for your room and front entrance will be provided. Room keys must be returned at time of check-out.
n A tour of the home and facilities that may be used (kitchen, laundry room, chapel, library and phone room) will be provided.
n Family and friends may visit on the first floor only. No visitors in your room.
n Children must be supervised at all times.
n Absolutely NO SMOKING is permitted anywhere inside the House. You may smoke on the outside front or backyard areas. NO ALCOHOL, weapons, or illegal drugs are permitted at anytime. Failure to comply with The House Rules and regulations will result in a demand for your immediate departure.
Communications
n Please advise your family, friends, doctor and nurses of your room number so they can reach you after office hours.
n The telephone number to Molly’s House is 772.223.6659.
n The phones in each room are restricted to local and 800 number calls only. Dial 9 for an outside line.
n Incoming fax is available upon request to management.
n Please check for your messages at the front desk daily.
n Only emergency calls will be accepted between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
n To access our wireless network: Network Key 772.223.6659 and wireless network: Mollys
n Children should be in their rooms by 10 p.m.
Dress Code
n Molly’s House is a home for many people and respectable attire is required at all times. Shirt, shoes & slippers are mandatory when you are out of your room. As a courtesy to other guests, no nightwear or bathrobes are allowed in public areas.
Guest Rooms
n Food and beverages (except water) are NOT permitted in your room.
n Daily housekeeping is NOT furnished.
n Guests are responsible for keeping their room and their linens clean while staying at Molly’s House.
n Cleaning supplies are under the sink in the bathroom and vacuums can be used upon request.
n A crib or cots are available upon request.
n A staff member may find it necessary to enter a guest room to check on a maintenance problem. If you experience any maintenance problems in your room, please report it to the front desk.
n Molly’s House Management reserves the right to inspect rooms at its discretion for compliance with House rules.
Kitchen
n Food and beverages are allowed only in the kitchen or outside patio areas.
n Guests may bring in their own groceries and prepare them in the fully equipped kitchen. A numbered cupboard and refrigerator shelf are available to store your personal food items. Please mark your food with your name and room number. Markers and labels are available in the kitchen for your use. Food must be consumed in the dining area only.
n Please rinse and scrape your dishes, utensils and put them in the dishwasher. Use only dishwasher detergent powder. If the dishwasher is clean, please unload it. Do not leave pots, pans or other dishes in the sink. Keep refrigerators clean and orderly.
Laundry
n Molly’s House provides laundry detergent so that you may launder clothes, bed linens, and towels during your stay.
n Strip bed(s), put sheets and towels in laundry basket and take to laundry room on the first floor upon check out.
n In order to keep our House comfortable, we ask you to help by keeping your room and bathroom clean. Please keep general areas tidy. With your help we can keep our costs down and maintain the beauty of our home.
Safety and Security
n Please be familiar with the posted fire exits and fire evacuation plan posted on your room door.
n In the event of fire, never use the elevator, use the stairwells located at the end of each hallway. Please remain on the property, if possible, so we can account for all residents.
n One outside door is unlocked from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Keep your room key with you at all times; your room door will lock automatically.
n Please do not let strangers into the House. Be sure to discuss this with your children.
n Molly’s House is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guest’s personal property.
n Any personal property left behind will be held for 30 days and then disposed of or donated to charity.
n Please report any accidents or injuries to the House Manager.
Check Out
Molly’s House needs your help in preparing your room for the next resident. Please assist us by following this basic guideline for checkout procedures. Thank You.
n Empty your food cupboard and refrigerator items. If you are not taking these items; please mark for general use and place in general use section of the refrigerator.
n Strip bed(s), put sheets and towels in laundry basket and take to laundry room on the first floor.
n Clean your room with the supplies that located under the bathroom sink (toilet, sink, floor and tubs).
n Return all borrowed books to the library.
n Return anything borrowed from the hospital directly to them.
n Please report any damages to the front desk.
n RETURN ALL KEYS TO THE FRONT DESK.
